Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated and experienced IT Business Analyst to join our Continental Europe and United Kingdom, Ireland and Crown Dependencies Technology team.
In this role, you will be responsible for understanding the needs of the business and building solutions to meet those needs and ensuring the effective implementation of IT systems to support regional business operations. You will have experience in developing solutions using such as SharePoint, providing support to critical local business applications, and providing desktop support. You will also have experience with end-user adoption and understanding better ways of working to transform the way the business uses technology tools.
Business Analysis:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
- Conduct gap analysis to identify areas for technical improvement and system enhancements.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to elicit requirements, validate solutions, and gather feedback from stakeholders.
Solution Development:
- Design, develop, and implement IT solutions to meet business needs, utilising appropriate technologies (e.g. Sharepoint) and frameworks.
- Collaborate with the IT team to build prototypes, test solutions, and ensure they meet user requirements and quality standards.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with IT standards and best practices.
Project Coordination:
- Act as a liaison between the regional IT team and business units, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist in project planning, including scope definition, resource allocation, and timeline management.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress, risks, and issues.
Testing and Quality Assurance:
- Develop test plans, cases, and scripts based on business requirements and functional specifications.
- Conduct system testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing to ensure solutions meet business needs and quality standards.
- Document and resolve any defects or issues identified during testing.
Training and Support:
- Provide training and support to end-users to ensure effective use of IT systems and solutions.
- Develop user manuals, training materials, and documentation to support system implementation and user adoption.
- Serve as the point of contact for post-implementation support and troubleshooting.
Ad hoc local IT Support
- Desktop Support including End User Support, IT Application Support, Requests for Information, and Service Request fulfilment
- Turning local challenges into tactical or strategic solutions

Qualifications
Required Experience
Education / Professional qualifications
- Business and/or Systems Analysis Qualification an advantage
Background Experience
- Excellent organisational, prioritisation and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable communicating with diverse stakeholders including subject matter experts, peers, managers, customers and suppliers
- ‘Can do’ attitude, ability to cope with tight deadlines and working under pressure
- Ability to take initiative and self-manage
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify problems and challenges, demonstrating strong analytical ability as well as providing informed insights
Technical Expertise
- Proficient in using tools (manual or automated) to record the structure, relationships and use of information within an organisation. Examples include: class diagram and relational data model.
- Familiar with applying standards, practices, codes, and assessment and certification programmes relevant to the IT industry and the specific organisation or business domain.
- Proficient in understanding and application of different development approaches
- Experience in performing a proof of concept or prototyping exercise to demonstrate or evaluate the feasibility and potential benefits of applying a particular technological business change in order to meet a business need.
- Experience of SharePoint Online including Workflow, PowerApps, PowerBi, and building local solutions would be a significant advantage
Company, product, or market knowledge
- Experience working in a complex, multi-country professional services, financial services, or BPO organisation with complex processing requirements (preferred but not essential).
- Multi-country experience and demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural, talented, and demanding team environment.
- Strong program management skills.
- Excellent communication skills in both written and oral form, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff members, customers, suppliers, and the management team.
