HR Manager

Job Description

  • Act as a business partner to the Country and Functional leaders in on all HR matters and provide practical people solutions to business challenges.
  • Lead employee engagement at country level supporting Regional HR Lead.
  • Employee life-cycle processes, including but not limited to employment contract, staff probation, learning & development, absences, maintaining and updating of employees’ records
  • Onboarding matters such as first-day orientation, work pass applications and employee master data
  • Offboarding matters such as exit clearance, income tax clearance, work pass cancellation & exit interview
  • Manage monthly payroll and annual income tax reporting for all entities in Hong Kong and any other locations where the company operates in the future; the process also includes managing the movement of funds, bank transfers/salary crediting and social contributions to the relevant authorities where applicable
  • Support the data requirements for annual performance review, pay & bonus exercise and the associated documentation
  • Review and approve data SAP entries to ensure our employee master data is accurate and that SAP is the primary source of such data
  • Liaise with Group HR on HRIS (SAP) issues
  • Actively contribute as a regional and/or global resource on process improvement and efficiency.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and Hong Kong CHESS Club activities
  • Support adhoc HR projects as assigned by the Manager

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an HR Manager, managing full spectrum of HR operations work in Hong Kong
  • Hands-on knowledge of Hong Kong Employment Ordinance and its applications
  • Payroll experience for Hong Kong employees is critical
  • Experience in pre and post M&A activities and related HR tasks
  • Familiar with management of HR projects
  • Ability to perform the role independently and with minimum guidance
  • Native speaker of Cantonese and proficient in written and spoken English
