Head of Commercial

Job Description

As Head of Commercial, you’ll lead the commercial strategy for the Jersey cluster, working closely with senior leadership and the Group Chief Commercial Officer to drive sustainable revenue growth, strengthen market presence, and achieve ambitious business development targets.

What you'll do

  • You'll develop and execute growth strategies, sales plans, and intermediary engagement initiatives to achieve annual revenue targets, expand key feeder channels, and drive business growth across Jersey and the wider Group
  • You'll build and manage strong relationships with prospects, clients, intermediaries, and internal sales teams, while leading cross-selling, upselling, and new business development activities.
  • You'll identify, pursue, and report on opportunities in target markets, monitor industry trends and competitive activity, and provide market insights and product development recommendations to senior leadership
  • You'll represent the business at conferences, networking events, and client meetings, while delivering thought leadership through presentations, articles, and other market-facing initiatives to enhance the IQ-EQ Jersey profile
  • You'll own sales performance and accountability by establishing KPI-driven sales approaches, preparing and executing market-segment strategies, driving approved product launches, participating in key business opportunities, and providing regular performance reporting to the Managing Director and GCCO.

Qualifications

  • You bring deep industry expertise across key market segments, supported by extensive fund industry experience and strong commercial acumen
  • You demonstrate exceptional sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive business growth
  • You exhibit initiative, drive, enthusiasm, and an entrepreneurial mindset, proactively identifying opportunities and delivering results
  • You communicate and collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders, fostering strong partnerships across teams and the wider organization
  • You possess strong planning, organizational, budget management, and reporting skills, while remaining resilient and effective under pressure
