Fund Accounting Manager

Job Description

The successful applicant must be a highly experienced and qualified accountant (CPA, ACCA, ACA, etc.) with a minimum of 8 years' post qualified experience within financial services, specifically within fund services. Experience in the preparation of periodic Net Asset Valuation reports and financial statements for audit purposes will be a necessity. The successful applicant should also have a talent for developing client relationships and be responsible for the compliance and maintenance of a portfolio of client funds (both open and closed ended) and prior 'Big 4' audit experience is highly desirable. Exposure to fiduciary support roles will be considered an advantage.

What you’ll do

  • You'll provide comprehensive fund administration services, including accounting, NAV calculation, financial statements, and transfer agency support.
  • You'll collaborate with client leads, managers, and teams to deliver fund engagements across industries while meeting timelines and expectations.
  • You'll apply partnership agreements and private placement terms to reporting, allocations, and complex calculations such as fees, capital calls, distributions, and waterfall models.
  • You'll prepare, review, and present financial statements, investor notices, board reports, and coordinate with auditors, tax teams, and compliance requirements.
  • You'll manage client and investor requests, drive process improvements, support system initiatives, and assist directors with fiduciary and AML-related tasks.

  • The salary for this position will be dependent on experience and location ($105,000 - $120,000)

Qualifications

  • You bring at least 8 years of post-qualified experience in fund services, backed by a university degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field, along with a recognized accounting designation.
  • You enhance your expertise with additional qualifications (or are working toward them), and your Big 4 audit background plus fiduciary support experience make you highly desirable.
  • You demonstrate strong leadership by managing and mentoring teams, while building excellent client relationships and navigating cross-jurisdictional cultural differences.
  • You apply knowledge of corporate governance and risk mitigation practices, thriving in diverse, dynamic, and collaborative environments under tight deadlines.
  • You are proficient in MS Office and experienced with fund accounting software such as Paxus and Investran, supported by excellent communication and organizational skills.
