Financial Reporting Manager

Job Description

We have an excellent opportunity to join a Group Finance function operating in a fast growth environment. You will be part of the team producing monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc management reporting for the consolidated IQ-EQ Group. This reporting includes both internal reporting to the Group Board and external reporting to Private Equity Investors and Lenders. The role will offer career progression in line with experience and future IQ-EQ Group expansion.

You will analyse the results and understand trading variances through liaison with the subsidiary finance teams, providing appropriate narrative to populate reporting and answer queries. The ideal candidate will have the ability to make improvements to the reporting processes and improve the presentation of information to allow for more rapid interpretation of the results. For acquisition activity you will support the team in mapping new entities into the Group’s Consolidation approach, loading up historic information to produce consistent analysis for the combined group.

Responsibilities for the position will include but not limited to the following:

 

  • Preparation of monthly management reporting for review by the CFO and senior members of the Group Finance team.
  • Oversight of the monthly results close and preparation of narratives to support variances through liaison with subsidiary entities
  • Liaison with subsidiary finance teams to understand trading performance and explain material variances to budgets
  • Assist the tracking and governance of one-off spend and in the preparation of cash flow forecasts
  • Preparation of tables to support the Group’s quality of earnings
  • Enhance financial reporting processes and improve the quality of presentation of data
  • Preparation of responses to queries (for example lender questions) and other ad-hoc reporting

Qualifications

  • ACA or ACCA qualified
  • Experience in management reporting and development of dashboards for ease of data consumption
  • Excellent written communication skills both for report writing and addressing stakeholder queries
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of PowerBI advantageous.
  • Organised and driven to ensure that tight deadlines are met.
  • Experience of using the Sun accounting system would be an advantage.
