Job Description

Responsibilities

To lead the company's financial accounting, reporting and control activities across the cluster, including financial accounting, budgeting and forecasting, preparation and analysis of management accounts, financial reporting (in accordance with Group requirements), management of cash flows, and strategic financial planning and to ensure they are carried out efficiently, effectively and in line with best practice. To achieve deliverables relating to strategic objectives for the Finance Department including building and development of reporting systems and generation of critical Business Information.

Tasks

  • Participate in the formulation of the company's strategy plan and ensure proper monitoring mechanisms are in place to track performance against budget and all strategic objectives and coordinate across all stakeholders to ensure accurate forecasting and delivery of result across the full P&L.
  • Anticipate and manage the financial and operational risks that may affect the company's profitability and reputation. Devise mitigating measures and ensure their timely implementation.
  • Lead and manage the budget setting and forecasting process, including headcount/ resource planning.
  • Manage procurement to maximize cost savings and reinforce the highest control standards.
  • Introduce operational efficiencies.
  • Support business decision making through robust financial analysis and deep knowledge of financial operation and expertise.
  • Manage and oversee the activities and operations of the Business Support and Facilities Department.
  • Manage and oversee the activities of the Revenue Assurance and Credit Control Department.
  • Bring controls and processes to ensure billing to clients are undertaken as per set policy, work-in-progress is monitored and consumed as per set policy and lock-up days are managed as per targets.
  • Work with other Business Units to ensure the effectiveness of controls and processes implemented by Revenue Assurance and Credit Control Department.
  • Manage Audit and Banking Relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with IQ EQ Group policies and procedures and develop close working relationships with senior stakeholders across the Group to ensure alignment of monthly forecast and ensure accurate delivery of results as per monthly financial forecast.
  • Develop, review and enhance financial systems, policies and procedures and ensure compliance with laws, policies, standards, and regulations.
  • Coordinate the treasury and cash management cycle and making appropriate & timely recommendations to the management.
  • Lead, influence and motivate staff to ensure the highest levels of service to the customers and ensure retention of key talents.
  • Ensure that necessary coaching and training are provided to the Finance and Business Support and Facilities team members.
  • Provide financial support for achieving strategic goals.
  • Establish and maintain effective work relationship.
  • Ensure protection of information assets of IQ-EQ MU and to abide by the ISMS in place at IQ EQ Mauritius, IQ EQ Shared Services and any related entity.
  • Coordinate and provide monthly business performance pack for local and Group purposes.
  • Partner with management and non-finance managers to drive the budgeting process.
  • Contribute to ad-hoc financial projects as required as part of the overall finance function.
  • Enhance automation through leveraging the accounting and various system (e.g. CRM)
  • Oversee the finance teams in and provide support to the other offices in the AIME region.

Qualifications

Education / professional qualifications

Fully ACCA/ACA Qualified

Background experience

10 years of leadership experience in Accounting and Finance

Technical

Experienced in Accounting standards (IFRS and relevant GAAPS), Applicable Legislations and Regulation

Computer / program knowledge

Advanced level of capability of the MS Office suite, Word Excel PowerPoint

Languages

Fluent in English and French
