FATCA/CRS Assistant Manager

Job Description

Responsibilities (how we will measure success)

  • You need to have good organisational skills to prioritise your day, the team’s priorities and plan the in-time delivery of the FATCA & CRS related tasks, quickly analysing requirements;
  • Strong communication skill is a must have for this role as you'll attend meetings with different stakeholders (clients, auditors, cross-jurisdiction colleagues among others) where you might be required to represent the FATCA/CRS team on your own;
  • You need to have the ability to understand XML schema to be able to prepare and review FATCA & CRS reports as well as resolve technical issues on XML before submission;
  • Your knowledge/experience will help you to be a team player and provide support/training to junior staff to maintain/enhance the quality of their deliverables in meeting deadlines;
  • You need to be up to date with all regulatory changes concerning FATCA & CRS and its impacts on our business from a due diligence view, reporting view and any other service rendered to client related to FATCA & CRS (e.g. Register of action, DAC7);
  • You need to be accountable for your work;

Tasks (what does the role do on a day-to-day basis)

  • Responsible for the planning and coordination together with the Manager of the annual FATCA & CRS reporting with all the relevant stakeholders;
  • As and when required, act as contact person with our clients to ensure full implementation of any FATCA & CRS topic which involves project management, coordination with our KYC/AML-team members and other stakeholders;
  • To promote a positive attitude and team approach by maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues;
  • Eye for detail;
  • Check the quality of FATCA & CRS self-certification & due diligence (Such as W-8 and/or W-9 forms), as and when required;
  • Comfortable with the preparation & review of Withholding Statements;
  • Ensure protections of information assets of IQ EQ and promote the values of IQ EQ.

Qualifications

  • Good understanding of FATCA and CRS regulations (Knowledge/experience on QI regime would be a plus);
  • Degree Holder in Accounting/Finance/Economics and/or Qualified/Partly Qualified ACCA/ACA;
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant working experience on FATCA and CRS topic (Preferably for Funds) with people management experience;
  • Strong IT skills in terms of .xml reporting (working with Macros on excel, FATCA/CRS reporting system, e-file platform) and can adapt easily to new systems/processes;
  • Be able to adapt rapidly to change;
  • Fluent in English, and French would be considered as an advantage.
