Company description

On January 31, 2025, IQ-EQ acquired the AGAMA Group, a leading independent firm specializing in compliance and regulatory consulting, based in France and Luxembourg.

AGAMA IQ-EQ offers strategic support in regulatory compliance, internal control, and operational management to asset managers across all asset classes and savings product distributors.

This acquisition marks a strategic milestone for IQ-EQ by establishing a strong presence in regulatory compliance in France and Luxembourg. It also reinforces its ambition to become a leader in regulatory compliance in continental Europe, mirroring its positioning in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Asia.

AGAMA IQ-EQ has become a key reference in France for asset managers and distributors’ compliance, enjoying strong market recognition and reputation.

In Luxembourg, AGAMA’s rapid growth will complement and strengthen existing services, particularly in AML Compliance Officer (RC) roles and independent director functions.

IQ-EQ sees strong synergy potential between AGAMA’s teams and its operations in France and Luxembourg, due to the significant presence of Private Equity and Real Estate in AGAMA’s client portfolio.

AGAMA regularly supports its clients through missions such as:

  • Outsourcing RCCI or RCSI functions
  • Regulatory assistance: implementing internal control and risk control systems, supporting RCCIs, drafting impact notes, compliance audits, training, regulatory monitoring
  • Support for licensing: assisting with the licensing of new management companies or investment firms
  • Assistance with registering financial advisors (CGP) with professional associations and ORIAS
  • Support for licensing French or Luxembourg investment funds with regulators (UCITS, AIFs, etc.)

AGAMA’s service offering complements IQ-EQ’s range of solutions for funds and asset managers operating in France and Luxembourg, including:

  • Fund and corporate administration
  • Outsourced financial management
  • Risk assessment and management
  • Third-party AIFM services

BELT SOLUTIONS is an innovative digital compliance and internal control solution designed for compliance and internal control officers in the financial and insurance sectors, and eventually for all commercial and listed companies.
