Job Description
We have a great opportunity for an experienced Property / Client Accountant to join our Client Accounting Team in the Isle of Man.
The successful candidate will work as part of a small team that provides accounting services to one large UK Real Estate client and be responsible for all elements of accounting for an allocated portfolio of property holding structures to financial statement level and should be able to:
- Prepare statutory financial statements under UK accounting standards (FRS 102)
- Maintain nominal ledgers and prepare quarterly management accounts to strict deadlines
- Prepare Isle of Man Company tax returns, VAT returns and CIS returns where relevant
- Prepare quarterly loan compliance reporting and covenant calculations
- Prepare monthly cash flow reports
- Assist members of the accounts team on any other ad-hoc projects
- Provide support to Client Administrators on accounting and taxation issues
- Liaise with client entity auditors, property managers and tax advisors where applicable
Use judgement to highlight and report significant matters that require attention by senior management.
Qualifications
- Good working knowledge of FRS 102
- Able to work to strict reporting deadlines and take responsibility for own workload
- Drive and flexibility to efficiently resolve client issues and provide excellent client service
- Able to work on own initiative and have a proactive approach to tasks
- Value accuracy and attention to detail
- Work well within a small team of accountants
- Professional written and verbal communication
- Hold a relevant professional accounting qualification e.g. ACA, ACCA or be qualified by relevant experience
- Knowledge of commercial property accounting beneficial but not essential
- Working knowledge of the following systems would be advantageous – Sage, Word and Excel.
