Business Intelligence Developer (Tableau)

Job Description

THIS ROLE 

The Officer 3 (Application Development) develops, documents, and supports standard dashboards and reports using established tools, guidelines, and procedures. The role performs a range of straightforward development and data‑processing tasks with moderate guidance and contributes to resolving routine reporting or dashboard issues. Interaction with end users may occur to clarify reporting requirements under the direction of senior team members.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • You’ll develop, maintain, test, and enhance standard to moderately complex dashboards, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with established procedures, quality standards, and Definition of Done requirements.
  • You’ll support data extraction, validation, and reporting activities, execute basic SQL queries, maintain dashboard documentation, and ensure the accuracy of data displayed in client dashboards and reports.
  • You’ll collaborate with clients, Client Services, and internal stakeholders to resolve dashboard and data-related issues, respond to routine inquiries, gather requirements, and provide project updates and demonstrations.
  • You’ll contribute to product development and process improvement initiatives by implementing assigned enhancements, recommending efficiencies, supporting platform updates, and promoting best practices.
  • You’ll provide basic technical guidance to junior team members, support onboarding and cross-functional collaboration, follow Azure DevOps workflows, maintain accurate timesheets, and assist with other team and business priorities as needed.

Qualifications

ABOUT YOU 

  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with at least 1.5 years of experience developing, maintaining, and managing Tableau-based dashboards and analytics solutions.
  • You have strong technical expertise in Tableau, data visualization, and complex datasets, with knowledge of Tableau administration/architecture, built-in functions (e.g., LOD), T-SQL, SQL database concepts, and cloud-based platforms such as Snowflake.
  • You are highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions, complex calculations, VBA, and Power Query, and possess intermediate programming skills in tools such as Python, R, MATLAB, or similar analytical languages.
  • You have excellent communication, documentation, organizational, and multitasking skills, enabling you to clearly articulate processes, operational risks, and technical requirements while managing multiple priorities.
  • You are a proactive, results-driven, and collaborative professional with a strong commitment to quality, continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and adapting to client-specific requirements and industry best practices.
