Azure Integration Test Analyst

Job Description

As a result of continued growth, we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Azure Integration Test Analyst to join our global team, to aid and assurance across our global software estate.

The Azure Integration Test Analyst is responsible for integration debugging/testing, documenting, and supporting the various integrations that have evolved within the firm. Most notably, but not restricted to, the growing use of the firm’s systems integrations and related services.

Relationship building with stakeholders across business and IT department will be essential, as will understanding pain points and devising solutions, ultimately leading to a deep knowledge of the business services and integrations between them.

You will need to have experience working in a fast-paced environment and able to prioritise tasks that contribute to the assurance of project workstreams and BAU activities. 

You will need to prepare Test Plans, Test Strategy documents, Test cases and Test scripts based on business requirements, rules, data mapping requirements and system specifications in detail, across platforms. You will also be required to contribute to successful release of various products, integrations and services.

You will also need to prepare Requirements Traceability Metrics (RTM), positive and negative test scenarios, detailed oriented Test Scripts, Test Kick-off documents, Test Scorecard with progress status, Test Results, Release Checklists on need basis and Regression Tests for future use.

You will be tenacious and passionate, with the ability to take ownership of tasks whilst managing your time effectively, and prioritising tasks to meet deadlines. 

You will maintain excellent attention to detail and have a logical approach to solving problems under pressure and an active communicator on technical issues that affect client delivery.

The role requires you to have the ability to communicate clearly and with impact in a fast-paced and high-pressure situations including the ability to challenge and influence the view of senior stakeholders respectfully, confidently, and effectively to bring a new perspective.

Tasks (what does the role do on a day-to-day basis)

  • Take ownership of test strategy within core group integrations.
  • Establish processes and provide assurance across critical and global application interfaces ensuring deliveries and interactions are robust and effective.
  • Work with development and support colleagues to ensure appropriate test solutions are in place and maintained.
  • Nurture effective relationships with the Data Transformation Team.
  • Evolve processes and fully harness the power of automated solutions.
  • Evaluate a growing number of tools and their potential application win the group.
  • Manage responsibilities in line with recognised Agile practices, against an Azure DevOps strategy.
  • Build appropriate and maintainable test packs for all stages of testing.
  • Plan of time and control flow transformations with appropriate test data.
  • Improve quality and reduce defects.

Qualifications

Education / professional qualifications

  • Graduate degree, preferably in IT related disciplines

Background experience

  • With 5 years of overall IT experience and 3 years of Software Quality Assurance as experience & practices.
  • Solid understanding of the use of APIs and Systems Integration.
  • Sound knowledge in using and testing Azure PaaS services like Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, Service Bus, APIM etc.
  • Experience in using Azure Test Plans, Azure Test Suite etc.
  • Understand & knowledge of system development life cycle methodologies and Azure DevOps strategies.
  • Good knowledge of API tools like SOAPUI, Postman, Fiddler, Advanced Rest Client etc.
  • Good knowledge of API design and validation.
  • Understanding and experience with API Testing frameworks, automation strategies and concepts.
  • Good to have experience in Groovy scripting.
  • Java, C# .net stack familiarity.
  • Automated test pipelines (frameworks, tooling etc).
  • Experience of working within an Azure DevOps environment.
  • Experience of testing for the following:
    • Cloud / SaaS hosted.
    • On prem
    • Client / server (fat client)
    • Virtual / Citrix
  • Build appropriate and maintainable test packs for all stages of testing.
  • Experience of continuous test products.
  • Ability to meet and adhere to internal and external deliverables whilst maintaining an exceptionally high standard.

Company, product, and market knowledge

  • Experience of working in a complex, multi-country professional services, financial services or BPO organisation with complex processing requirements preferred but not essential.
  • Multi-country experience and demonstrates an ability to work in a multi-cultural, talented, and demanding team environment.
  • Possess the skills and the personality to operate effectively in a very fast-paced complex global business with an in-depth knowledge of program management.
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and oral form, with staff members, customers, suppliers, and the management team with the ability to make decisions, act and get results.

*Testing experience in Azure PaaS is mandatory*
