Azure Dev Ops Integration Engineer

Responsibilities

As a result of continued growth, we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Azure DevOps Integration Engineer to join our global team, to provide specialist expertise and utilisation of Azure cloud technologies and the integrations across a complex enterprise estate.

The  Azure DevOps Integration Engineer is responsible for building and maintaining the integrity of the Azure platform using the resource manager and toolset.

Managing the pipeline and ensure consistency is maintained for new requirements.   

Relationship building with stakeholders across business and IT department will be essential, as will understanding pain points and devising solutions, ultimately leading to a deep technical knowledge of the platforms used and input into development roadmap and driving best practices.

You will need to have experience working in a fast-paced environment and able to prioritise tasks that contribute to the delivery of project workstreams, BAU activities, and response to incidents. 

You will have the ability to work together with colleagues based all over the globe across many technology functions.

You will be tenacious and passionate, with the ability to take ownership of tasks whilst managing your time effectively, and prioritising tasks to meet deadlines. 

You will maintain excellent attention to detail and have a logical approach to solving problems under pressure and an active communicator on technical issues that affect client delivery.

The role requires you to have the ability to communicate clearly and with impact in a fast-paced and high pressure situations including the ability to challenge and influence the view of senior stakeholders respectfully, confidently, and effectively to bring a new perspective.

 

 

Tasks (what does the role do on a day-to-day basis)

  • Understand pipelines and manage ACI/CD requirements to embed within existing processes.
  • Monitor and maintain the integrity of the Azure architecture usage.
  • Responsibility over the Azure DevOps environment.
  • Creation and maintenance of the ARM / Bicep templates.
  • Collaborate with in-house Azure colleagues and others across Group Technology and Business functions as appropriate.
  • Continuous review of practices to ensure they remain viable and future focussed.
  • Maintain governance, policy and process documentation in adherence with group requirements.

Required Experience

Education / professional qualifications

  • Graduate degree, preferably in IT related disciplines
  • Azure certification, such as Administrator Associate

Background experience

  • Experience of Azure architecture and managing in-house requirements.
  • Expertise of maintaining an Azure DevOps environment
  • Understanding and experience of Azure ARM / Bicep Infrastructure Templates
  • Good working knowledge of C# / .net implementations.
  • Knowledge of BI, Data and Analytics
  • Ability to meet and adhere to internal and external deliverables whilst maintaining an exceptionally high standard

Company, product, and market knowledge

  • Experience of working in a complex, multi-country professional services, financial services or BPO organisation with complex processing requirements preferred but not essential
  • Multi-country experience and demonstrates an ability to work in a multi-cultural, talented, and demanding team environment
  • Possess the skills and the personality to operate effectively in a very fast-paced complex global business with an in-depth knowledge of program management
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and oral form, with staff members, customers, suppliers, and the management team with the ability to make decisions, act and get results

Languages

  • Fully proficient spoken and written English, additional European languages will be an asset
