Job Description
Associate Managers (AM) are most senior member who deal with day to day complex client issues and demands. They are subject matter expert in certain areas of their domain. For areas which do not yet fully qualify as subject matter expert they refer to the Director - Accounting Services of the team they work in.
The Director - Accounting Services will set training and development goals for all staff and you will have to ensure delivery as on the job training and coaching.
You will have to train and coach (junior) staffs in order to make their careers progress as fast as their talent allows them to.
You will have to work closely with the Director - Accounting Services having varying areas of expertise (Fund accounting and corporate secretarial) in order to provide the best possible solutions to our clusters’ clients and ensure our people receive the training that best covers their needs.
Tasks
- Maintain the up to date status of all work in the planning system, raising issues with the reporting line when work cannot be executed as planned and highlighting where changes may be needed in planning assumptions
- Liaison with Client and the outgoing Administrator (where instructed), to obtain documentation on on-boarding NAVs.
- On an ongoing Basis:
- Review of NAV on a monthly basis and client liaison;
- Transfer Agency;
- Preparation of financial Statements under IFRS or US GAAP;
- Liaison with external auditors including set up of Audit timetable and data gathering;
- Co-ordinate for K1 preparation.
- Preparation of Capital Call.
- Co-ordinate with Manager for information regarding capital calls.
- Liaison with Clusters for information
- Ensure all work prepared for Group clusters is accurate and error free and always meets quality standards.
- Use his/her knowledge and experience to decide when to escalate an issue, using every situation as an opportunity to learn.
- Demonstrate ownership of his/her own development, highlighting when additional support and development is required.
- Prepare and execute fund accounting work that cannot be handled by other less experienced team members.
- Ensure that new methodologies, standards, new regulations and correct use of software, are applied within the team to better service the client.
- Participate and provide input to the performance review and development plan of team members whom he/she has worked with, trained or coached.
- To ensure protections of information assets of IQ-EQ MU and to abide by the ISMS in place at IQ-EQ MU.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Degree holder and/ Fully Qualified Professional qualification (ACCA,ACA or any other relevant)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience
- Strong knowledge of Paxus
- Experience in a similar role would be an advantage
- Proven client operational relationship at Senior Level
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office Word and Excel
