Associate Director – Private Equity Fund Administration

Job Description

Position Summary:

  • You will be working directly with leading private equity and asset management firms in the alternative asset industry under the guidance and direction from our experienced team of industry veterans. You will be facilitating our service offering by assisting, performing, and reviewing the following:
  • Support IQEQ client leads on multiple Private Equity and other investment fund structures within various industries
  • Handle team and support functions to manage client expectations and ensure adherence to timelines on client deliverables in accordance with the requirements defined by client agreements, tax and other regulatory deadlines
  • Maintain a working understanding of client operating documents and structures and apply terms to accounting records, financial reporting and income and expense allocations.
  • Oversight of review process surrounding journal entries, cash and intercompany reconciliations, investor allocations, sources/uses of cash,
  • Oversight of review process regarding accounting information for various entities across clients’ structures including SPV entities, JV entities, main and co-investment funds and management companies
  • Oversight of review process regarding investment reconciliations, accounting for investment disposals, part disposals and transfers of ownership of investments between multiple entities
  • Review quarter end and year-end financial reporting information and statements, notes disclosures, and supporting schedules
  • Manage quarter end and year-end process and handle requests from external auditors and tax teams
  • Review and oversight of client employee credit card reconciliations and payroll processing
  • Assess operational effectiveness and make suggestions for process development
  • Handle daily/routine client information requests and fulfill ad-hoc requests as needed
  • Manage and prioritize work tasks to meet competing deadlines
  • Train and develop team members

Qualifications

  • 7+ of progressive experience in private equity, public accounting, or a combination of experience at an alternative asset investment firm and public accounting experience
  • Analytical and technical skills with proficiency in accounting and administration for alternative investment structures, including experience of large, complex investment structures
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Ability to provide exceptional client service
  • Ability to collaborate with others in a team environment, provide and accept constructive feedback
  • Ability to produce high quantity of work product with accuracy and extreme attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple demands and competing deadlines
  • Effective and professional communication
  • Ability to work overtime as needed to meet deadlines
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Business Central preferred
  • Experience in management company accounting preferred
  • Experience in managing and training junior team members

Additional information

Salary based on experience and location ($125,000-$155,000) and full benefits package offered.
