Assistant Manager, Funds KYC (temporary – 6 month)

Job Description

Responsibilities:

During your time in this 6 month temporary role you will co-lead the KYC Team with the support of the Manager and assist the Guernsey Funds business by co-ordinating the seamless on-boarding of investors as well as maintaining a high level of support to the Fund Administration teams for BAU.

Tasks:

  • You will ensure all client data/structures are accurate and complete in PureClient.
  • You will add all investment data to PureClient for screening purposes.
  • You will check all investor data with PureClient.
  • You will drive the on-boarding of investors, regularly reporting on progress.
  • You will work closely with your team to develop their understanding and insight of the investor acceptance process, by defining approaches and providing guidelines.
  • You will ensure that required information is collated and recorded accurately in a timely manner.
  • You will build and maintain effective working relationships with the wider Funds business, reporting issues to your manager and the Senior Management team as required.
  • You will liaise with your local compliance team and help develop a proactive positive relationship between all teams.
  • You will assist with the development and training of more junior members of the KYC Team, possibly in multiple jurisdictions.
  • You will assist with coordinating the risk profiling and rating of new investors and the periodic reviews of existing investors.
  • You will assist with the review and sign-off of normal and low risk investor files, where required.
  • You will use your own judgement and bring to the attention of your Manager any issues which you feel appropriate, in particular ensuring that concerns and identified risks are reported in a timely and effective manner.
  • You will develop and maintain strong, effective, working relationships with the administration teams within the Funds business.
  • You will ensure that the on-boarding service provided to investors is consistent and delivered within best practice, fulfilling all contractual, legal and regulatory obligations.

Qualifications

  • Education / professional qualifications
  • Professional qualification preferable, but not strictly necessary
  • Technical / experience
  • Familiar with reviewing CDD/KYC information, along with funds experience. Knowledge of FATCA/CRS requirements would be an advantage
  • Computer / program knowledge
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
  • Have the ability to adapt to different software and systems.
