Assistant Manager – Funds and Corporate Services

Job Description

What You Will Do :

  • You’ll prepare and technically review financial statements in line with applicable reporting frameworks (IFRS and other relevant standards), ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely delivery. 

  • You’ll manage and coach junior team members, oversee workloads, and ensure deadlines are met while maintaining high performance and engagement within the team. 

  • You’ll work closely with clients to understand their requirements, deliver tailored management accounting outputs, and identify opportunities to improve their systems and processes. 

  • You’ll liaise directly with auditors and stakeholders, resolve queries efficiently, and ensure smooth completion of engagements. 

  • You’ll monitor engagement progress, report to the Director, proactively identify risks or inefficiencies, and contribute to process improvements that enhance service quality and delivery.

Qualifications

What we are looking for : 

  • You are a CA (SA) or currently completing your qualification, with a strong technical foundation built through a completed SAICA training contract. 

  • You bring post‑articles experience in financial services, ideally within fund accounting or financial reporting, and are comfortable handling complex data and engagements. 

  • You have a strong command of IFRS and relevant accounting frameworks, with exposure to US GAAP (investment funds) viewed as an advantage. 

  • You are confident using tools such as CaseWare, Pastel/Xero, MS Office, and SARS eFiling, and are comfortable working with large datasets. 

  • You are a proactive team player with strong communication skills, able to manage stakeholders, lead teams, take ownership, and deliver high‑quality results in a client‑focused environment.
