Assistant Manager (AOS)

Job Description

THIS ROLE:

In this role you will primarily be the technical expert responsible for ensuring excellence in complex fund accounting services through expertise and final review authority. You will serves as the ultimate subject matter expert for the team on complex accounting matters, leading technical decisions and process innovations while providing authoritative guidance on sophisticated client portfolios and advanced accounting modules. 

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

  • You will review fund accounting reports and other deliverables using prescribed guidelines and guidance
  • You will maintain accurate and timely processing of fund accounting transactions and support for the review of fund accounting operations following established procedures  
  • You will liaise with internal stakeholders,  addressing queries and issues and ensure compliance with relevant standards, statutory requirements and internal policies         
  • You will establish and maintain technical best practices and maintain strong knowledge of client-specific requirements         
  • You will drive technical excellence and innovation in the processes an lead the development of technical standards and methodologies within the team 
  • You will be responsible for reviewing and maintaining the data accuracy shown in the client reports and/or dashboard

  • You will conduct regular performance reviews and liaise with the manager for the career development discussions of the direct reports 

ADDITIONAL TASKS:

  • You will do the final review and sign-off fund accounting activities and calculations and document exceptions and prepare error reports together with review findings, proposing corrective actions and preventive measures· 
  • You will coordinate with team under AOS or clients on deadlines and deliverables, planning and assigning workload within the team·         
  • You will represent the team in cluster/client meetings and internal discussions and address complex client issues and transactions, making decisions on proper treatments and escalating when necessary·         
  • You will review  and approve standard operating procedures before deploying to team members for usage 
  • You will monitor and ensure the resolution of all review comments and queries within agreed timeframes 
  • You will assists in client onboarding activities and any change request related to the above tasks        
  • You will monitors client deliverables as stipulated in the SLAs, as pre-agreed with each client 
  • You will stay updated on new methodologies, standards, and regulations, ensuring their application within the team      
  • You will review and approve staff scheduling and time management and track work progress through timesheet completion            
  • You will participate in required training programs and do cross-functional collaboration within the international organization and with other departments on service delivery 
  • You will lead the team in supporting the product development team in any new or updates to fund accounting calculations or dashboards within Cosmos  ensuring relevant documentation (research papers, formulas etc) is in place  
  • You will minimize risk to IQ-EQ by ensuring all procedures, checklists and audit requirements are followed and complied by all team members 
  • You will provide timely and constructive feedback to your direct report and perform other related duties as assigned for role and business needs

Qualifications

ABOUT YOU:

  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred 
  • You have minimum 6 years of relevant experience, 4 years of which are in performance and analytics, fund accounting, financial reporting, or audit, with a focus on complex portfolios and advanced accounting modules 
  • You have proven track record of serving as a subject matter expert in technical accounting and driving process innovation 
  • You have a comprehensive knowledge of accounting standards, statutory requirements, and regulatory frameworks 
  • You are skilled in reviewing and analyzing complex transactions and operational procedures 
  • You are a detail-oriented and organized, ensuring thorough validation of complex processes, with “Can do” attitude, ability to cope with tight deadlines, work under pressure and lead by example
