Analyst, Risk Oversight – Delegation & Outsourcing

Job Description

A data-driven oversight role supporting the monitoring of delegated portfolio managers and outsourced service providers under AIFMD. The Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting risk indicators across third-party relationships. The role requires strong technical skills in data analysis, dashboarding, and documentation to support the AIFM’s regulatory obligations and internal governance.

Core Responsibilities

  • Support due diligence and ongoing monitoring of delegates and outsourced providers
  • Build and maintain delegates risk scoring tools and related dashboards using Power BI, Access, and or Excel
  • Track KPIs, SLA performance, regulatory compliance, and incident logs
  • Prepare regular reports and visual summaries for the Risk team and senior management
  • Maintain oversight registers and documentation for AMF inspections and internal audit
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Compliance, Ops, IT) to gather oversight inputs

Key Tasks

  • Populate and update risk scoring matrices for all delegates
  • Analyse responses to due diligence questionnaires and flag risk indicators
  • Automate and maintain oversight dashboards in Power BI and Excel
  • Use Access and SQL to manage oversight databases and extract insights
  • Draft summaries and memos for internal reporting and escalation
  • Assist in thematic reviews (e.g., ESG, BCP, cyber resilience)
  • Support the Manager in preparing Board materials and regulatory submissions
  • Maintain continuous self-awareness and market intelligence of AIFMD, AMF regulation, and ESMA guidance, especially Articles relevant to delegation oversight. Proactively integrate regulatory updates into reporting and risk analysis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Risk, Data Analytics, or Business Administration
  • Certification or coursework in SQL, Power BI, or data analysis is a plus

 Professional Experience:

  • 3–5 years in risk, compliance, operations, or data analysis within financial services
  • Familiarity with AIFMD, AMF, and ESMA delegation rules is an advantage
  • Experience in reporting, dashboarding, or third-party oversight preferred

Skills and Key Behaviours:

  • Strong analytical and data visualization skills
  • Proficient in Excel and reporting tools
  • Detail-oriented with excellent documentation and reporting abilities
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Able to work independently and escalate appropriately
  • Fluent in English; French is a plus
