AML/FATCA Officer

Department:

Responsibilities (how we will measure success)

  • You need to have the ability to understand XML schema to be able to prepare and review FATCA & CRS reports before submission;
  • You need to assist in performing checks on regulatory changes concerning FATCA & CRS and impacts to due diligence and reporting;
  • You need to be able to assist the AML/KYC team, as and when needed;

Tasks (what does the role do on a day-to-day basis)

  • You will take part of the annual FATCA & CRS reporting by the relevant deadline to the tax authority;
  • Check the quality of FATCA & CRS self-certification & due diligence (Such as W-8 and/or W-9 forms), as and when required;
  • Preparation of W-8IMY and withholding statement;
  • Preparation of the Record of Steps;
  • Preparation of DAC7 notification letters to reportable investors;
  • You will be required to respond to queries from our stakeholders (clients, colleagues, Tax authority), under supervision where required, especially in writing, in a timely and courteous manner;
  • Promote ideas for process improvement and assist in their implementation;
  • To ensure that time sheet is accurately updated;
  • To promote a positive attitude and team approach by maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues;
  • To ensure protections of information assets of IQ EQ.

Qualifications

  • Good understanding of FATCA and CRS regulations (QI would be considered as an advantage);
  • Degree Holder in Accounting/Finance/Economics and/or Qualified/Partly Qualified ACCA/ACA;
  • Minimum 1/2 years relevant working experience in FATCA and CRS reporting (Preferably for Funds);
  • Strong IT skills in terms of xml reporting (e-file platform);
  • Fluent in English, and French would be considered as an advantage.
