AIFM Risk Management, Senior Officer

Job Description

What you’ll do

  • You’ll operate autonomously across assigned clients and funds, mastering the full risk‑management framework—including policies, procedures, regulatory obligations, and escalation protocols for breaches, conflicts, and complaints.
  • You’ll implement, maintain, and enhance risk‑management policies and procedures, identify relevant risk types, and propose appropriate measurement methodologies and limits.
  • You’ll develop, monitor, and update risk profiles for all AIFs, perform pre‑trade investment compliance checks, and continuously assess the adequacy of key risk indicators.
  • You’ll prepare and review quarterly risk reports, escalate material risks and breaches to senior management and governance bodies, and ensure timely and accurate Annex IV (AIFMD) reporting.
  • You’ll collaborate with onboarding teams to assess risks of new products and projects, and advise internal and external stakeholders on complex risk matters and regulatory developments affecting Luxembourg investment funds.

Qualifications

  • You hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance (or an equivalent field) and are fluent in English, with any additional language considered an asset.
  • You bring 3+ years of professional experience in a Risk Management–related function, with strong writing, analytical, and communication skills.
  • You possess a solid understanding of the Luxembourg fund industry, its regulations, and various illiquid investment strategies such as Private Equity, Real Estate, Infrastructure, and Private Debt.
  • You demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset and have knowledge of Annex IV reporting, which is considered a plus.
  • You have good knowledge of at least one IT language (e.g., VBA, SQL, Python), which is viewed as an asset.
