Accounting Manager

Job Description

Drawing on your existing experience in Finance you will be able to add immediate value to our Finance Function, contributing to the Finance Department and actively participating in the monthly reporting and looking for ways to streamline our processes and make efficiencies.

Reporting to the Finance Operations Director you will be responsible for the managing the general accounting activities. As you work closely with our Business Controller you will have a leading role in the planning and control cycle and will keep them up to date on our working capital position and you will be involved with improving and optimizing our debtor position.

Together we find solutions and make things happen but to do this we want you to contribute; looking for ways to help us get better at what we do in the most efficient and effective way.

Responsibilities (what does the role do on a day-to-day basis)

  • Perform the all-round bookkeeping of all IQ EQ NL administrations
  • Actively collaborate with the offshore team in Mauritius to align goals, share knowledge, and drive successful project outcomes
  • Lead and actively manage process control and process monitoring
  • Prepare payments, monitoring progress and cash flow prognosis
  • Monitor sub ledgers (debtors and creditors)
  • Contribute to the financial analysis
  • Contribute during monthly closing and the reporting within an International Group environment
  • Drive for process optimization (automation of core processes)
  • Support with the financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements
  • Play an active role related to improving and optimizing reports and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with reporting requirements and Dutch GAAP (willing to learn IFRS).
  • Responsible for VAT and Corporate taxes filing.
  • Responsible for regulatory filings

Qualifications

Educational Qualification: Bachelor degree (HBO) or equivalent
Experience: Minimum 5 years of successful professional experience in a Financial Accounting position. Knowledge of investor services and outsourcing sector beneficial. Management of Client relationships and experience with resolving issues directly with Clients strongly desirable
Languages: English, Dutch is preferred
