Accounting Assistant Manager

Job Description

The assistant manager will report to the manager of the team or the Head of Pool (HoP) and will :

  • Manage a portfolio of Institutional clients, Corporate clients or Private Wealth* clients (mainly SPVs):
    • Review deliverables prepared by the Global Client Delivery (GCD)for this client’s portfolio and monitor answer to clients’ requests
    • Review the annual financial statements prepared by the GCD
    • Review and coordinate with the GCD the preparation of financial reporting and closing process
    • Review the VAT returns and tax returns
    • Review the tax provisions
    • Assist in treasury management functions and review SPV’s fees projections
    • Review and follow-up BCL or CSSF reports
    • Assist in the liquidation process
    • Assist the FATCA CRS team for the FATCA and CRS reporting
    • Check, file and archive tax and accounting documents of his/her portfolio to ensure the completeness of the files
    • For the files not assigned to the GCD the senior will prepare all the above tasks under the supervision of the manager or the HoP.
  • Directorship mandates and attendance to the board meetings
  • Review work of more junior team members
  • Assist the manager of the team for the management of the team members, the GCD team and the portfolio of clients
  • Manage the relationships with other service providers, including auditors, tax advisors, law firms, and banks
  • Understand structure of new clients’ investments, including the reporting and tax implications
  • Act as active team member and also support the other team members to deliver the highest quality standard of service to clients
  • Utilize Technical support team / additional resources appropriately and where required
  • Executes and ensures timely delivery of quality services
  • Checks and follows up internal procedures

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor/BAC+3: Accountancy/Business Administration
  • At least 4 - 5 years of experience in Accounting
  • Computer/program knowledge: Microsoft office, Demasy
  • Strong technical accounting (Lux GAAP) skills are essential, IFRS and US GAAP will be an asset
  • Languages: Fluent in English, German would be an advantage
