Assistant Manager – Private Wealth

Job Description

Responsibilities

The Assistant Manager-Private Wealth will maintain client relationship including handling client issues and demands.

The Assistant Manager-Private Wealth will act as the Checker before delivering work to clients and ensures compliance to the Group and Company compliance policies as well as local regulatory framework.

The Assistant Manager-Private Wealth will liaise with the Director – Client Management for delivery services to his/her client portfolio.

Tasks

  • Train and coach team members working under his/her supervision or working on his/her client portfolio and achieve maximum efficiency
  • Review and approve the jobs done by the team members to ensure quality service is delivered to clients
  • Participate and provide input to the performance review and development plan of team members whom he/she has worked with, trained or coached
  • Ensure protections of information assets of IQ-EQ MU and to abide by the ISMS in place at IQ-EQ MU
  • Work with the Manager/Senior Manager on the budget of the department and ensure that the budget is met
  • Identify revenue opportunities for additional work done
  • Assist the Manager/Senior Manager in the growth of the portfolio
  • Assist the Manager/Senior Manager as well as the Trustees in advising and guiding the clients on their portfolio and use of trust assets
  • Always ensure that the trusts and the underlying companies under management are compliant with the relevant laws and regulations
  • Ensure that that the Group policies and procedures are always adhered to.

Qualifications

Education / professional  qualifications

  • Degree holder and/or related Professional qualification

Background experience

  • Minimum 5 years of in a similar role / global business sector

Technical

  • Experience in Trust and Corporate Administration and Secretarial matters

    Sound knowledge of Companies Act, Trust Act, Income Tax Act and relevant legislations affecting Global Business in Mauritius

Computer / program knowledge

  • Good Knowledge of 5 Series
