Job description

The HR Coordinator will work closely with HR Business partners in handling Employee Engagement and Employee Relations Concerns. He/she will be tasked to work closely with HR Operations team members in ensuring the effective roll-out of various employee programs, providing guidance and assistance as needed. 

Responsibilities

To be successful in this role, the candidate must have a clear understanding of the company’s business objectives and be able to devise and implement policies in the selection, development, engagement, and retention of staff.   

Onboarding

  • Facilitates Induction Training for new hires 
  • Administer onboarding feedback to all new hires 
  • Assist in the collection and verification of requirements of new hires and secondees 

Employee Engagement

  • Plans and implements employee engagement programs to promote a positive working environment 
  • Initiate and drive company-wide activities including but not limited to – rewards and recognition. 
  • Monitors budget compliance versus actual cost for each engagement activity 
  • Conducts engagement survey to measure the effectiveness of each activity 
  • Analyses the results of the survey and communicates the results to the Management 

Accounts Management

1. Employee Relations 

  • Deals with employee grievances and implements disciplinary procedures 
  • Conducts learning sessions to stake holders to ensure knowledge and compliance of the implementing guidelines of the company policies and to adequately address labor-related HR issues in both corrective and preventive manner.

2. Performance Management

  • Reviews performance evaluations submitted by the line managers and recommends action plans to improve performance 
  • Tracks and monitor the compliance of managers in performance-related documents 

Qualifications

Must Have

  • Excellent organisational, prioritisation and interpersonal skills 
  • Good academic track record. Graduate of bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Human Resource or equivalent 
  • Intermediate to advance skills in Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Comfortable communicating with individuals in a professional manner 
  • Strong ownership of tasks 
  • Can do attitude, ability to cope with tight deadlines and working under pressure 
  • Attention to detail 
  • Strong team ethics 

Nice to have

  • Work experience in similar role especially Employee Engagement 
  • Strong Excel skills
