Manager – Fund Accounting

Job Description

As a Manager within the Fund Accounting team, you will be a leader responsible for driving operational excellence and team performance. You will manage a team of accounting professionals, oversee complex 
client relationships and ensure delivery of high-quality accounting services. The position focuses on 
people management and operational efficiency while maintaining overall accountability for team 
performance and client satisfaction. 

What you will do

  • Manage client relationship through regular calls with clients. Escalate client issues to Director of Client Management whenever required. 
  • Ensure clients complaints are properly handle. Engage in problem solving of complex situations. 
  • In charge of a portfolio as determined by Director-Accounting Services 
  • Ensure Maintenance of Fund’s books and records in accordance with the Offering Memorandum and other Constitutive Documents. 
  • Review complex tax computations prepared by team members. 
  • Review complex financial statements prepared by FS team prior to sending to clients 
  • Submission of tax returns via MNS. 
  • Ensure that new methodologies, standards, new regulations and correct use of software, are applied within the team to better service the client. 
  • Work closely together with the other functions to ensure a good client service delivery. 
  • Monitoring of budgets, identifying revenue opportunities and monitoring of WIP. 
  • Manage the performance review of team members. Design and monitor their individual development plan to cater for their growth and effectiveness within the company.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field or ACCA Qualified/ACA would be an advantage
  • Minimum 7 years’ managerial operational experience in either fund or corporate accounting services 
  • Experience in complex accounting 
  • Sound Knowledge of IFRS, Preparation of     Financial Statement under IFRS and other applicable laws and regulations 
  • Proven client operational relationship at senior level 
  • Excellent knowledge of PAXUS and/or Microgen
