The Assistant Manager for Business Process Engineering should lead and drive innovation in the operations processes by understanding emerging technologies and spotting for opportunities on how it can solve existing business challenges
Responsibilities (how we will measure success)
Business Requirements Analysis
- Have a good orientation of the processes involved and spot for opportunities where technology can be leveraged
- Elicit business requirements and validate understanding to align with business needs
- Develop the needed documentation to express these requirements
Solution Engineering and Delivery
- Identify technology or process improvement solution candidates to solve an identified business problem
- Design, Develop, and/or configure solution platforms (automation, low-code / no-code technology, dashboards, etc.) in place to deliver benefits to the organisation
- Perform Quality Assurance on solution components developed
- Deploy solutions to development, test, and production environments
- Liase with different stakeholder groups to ensure that the solutions will be deployed correctly, other risks are considered, and have mitigations in place
- Conduct continuous review of existing solutions deployed and determine if there are opportunities for optimisation and refactor if needed
- Develop and maintain the necessary documentation for the solutions deployed
- Support technology implementation of both in-house and/or external projects
R&D & Technology Thought Leadership
- Research emerging platforms to identify possible opportunities where it can be applied
- Ensure continues update on already deployed technologies and explore new features that could be taken advantage of when applicable
- Conduct technology awareness campaigns, facilitate related training, and drive inclusive ideation sessions through design thinking
- Participate on other analysis / insighting activities aimed at continuous improvement
