To celebrate International Women’s Day which takes place on Monday 8 March, IQ-EQ will drive a number of internal initiatives and activities to mark the occasion, including the launch of our very own Elevate programme.
Elevate is a bespoke women in leadership development programme combining self-study, mentoring workshops and one-to-one meetings. This programme is available to all women in IQ-EQ, those starting out in their career, returning to work after a career break or for the more experienced who are taking the next step in their career. In addition, among a host of #ChooseToChallenge selfies and local celebrations, some of our colleagues also penned blog posts about women who inspire them.
Rachel Aldridge, Managing Director, Lawson Conner part of IQ-EQ
Rachel provides a list of inspiring women from politicians to musicians, but also encourages us to love what we do and have a positive impact on the lives of those around us.
Joyce Sarandi, Senior Accountant, IQ-EQ
Joyce pens a list of modern women who are an inspiration from Greta Thunburg to Emma Watson but concludes that it’s the women around her that are the most concrete and highly inspiring and influential, namely her mother and grandmother.
Lindsay Smith, Chief Administration Officer, Constellation Advisers part of IQ-EQ
Lindsay reflects on what it is like to be a working mother, taking inspiration from an incredible role model, her own mother. Watching her mother grow a career while raising children, she now follows in her mother’s footsteps.
Chris Marsden, Group General Counsel, IQ-EQ
In Chris’ blog, he shares discussions with his two young daughters about women leading the fight against Covid-19 from Professor Sarah Gilbert working on vaccines to Jacinda Ardern, Prime Minister of New Zealand leading a country out of the pandemic.
Tracy Tsang, Internal Communications Manager, IQ-EQ
Tracy met Debra Searle, a successful adventurer, TV presenter and business women. In her blog Tracy shares how she was inspired by Debra’s bravery and resilience as she rowed solo in an Atlantic Rowing Race that took her on an incredible journey of self-discovery.
