We are a global business and we’re dedicated to creating a working environment that’s inclusive. We know that the future success of the business world, and not just our business, relies on people with different perspectives, experiences, knowledge and skills. To achieve this we cannot and will not stand still. Our mission is to ensure everyone has the same opportunities and to do this we need to identify where we fall short.
Last year we reviewed our Diversity and Inclusion agenda, we ran activities, we brought our focus groups together and carried out a Group Inclusion survey to enable us to understand and identify the gaps. One consistent theme that emerged was the lack of women in our leadership roles. After extensive research, we identified that providing women with development support before and during their key leadership transition was a great place to start.
To coincide with International Women’s Day, Elevate was launched and is the newest edition to our Ascent development framework. This is a bespoke women in leadership development programme combining self-study, mentoring workshops and one-to-one meetings. This programme is available to all women in IQ-EQ, those starting out in their career, returning to work after a career break and for the more experienced who are taking the next step in their career.
It’s always exciting to add a new addition to our Ascent framework and like with all our programmes it will evolve over time to ensure it remains current, productive and achieves our goal to provide women with the skills, tools and knowledge to be confident with their career choices.
If you’re inspired by our newest addition and want a supportive business that will provide you with the tools and knowledge so you can be confident with your career choices, then you may have found the perfect place. Whether you are at the start of your career like Eloise who joined as a marketing intern last summer and is now a permanent member of our Group Marketing team; or in the middle of your career like Dani looking to hone technical knowledge and skills; or a senior director like Stacy, we would love to hear from you.
