Top fundraiser for Children’s Health Ireland

The Skydive Challenge

During the months of August and September, our colleagues raised a whopping €14,071 for Children’s Health Ireland.

Children’s Health Ireland (“CHI”) raises vital funds to support sick children and their families in Irish paediatric hospitals and urgent care centres – from funding vital life-saving equipment and providing essential patient and parental supports to making ground-breaking, paediatric research possible.

In 2022, CHI launched their “Dare to Be Brave” campaign, which promoted a series of adventurous activities, where participants could raise funds to support the life-saving work of CHI hospitals by taking part in fun, once-in-a-lifetime challenges. A total of €158,575 was raised across Ireland by this campaign alone this year. The IQ-EQ CHESS ROI Team was number one on the leader board of fundraisers.

As part of Dare to Be Brave, the CHESS team sponsored two of our colleagues to participate in the Skydive Challenge, which took place on Wednesday 21 September. Cian Leahy and Patricia O'Keeffe-Murphy were the brave volunteers who took part in the challenge. Well done!

The day stayed fine (albeit a little windy!) and our colleagues came down from the skies safely after a once in a lifetime experience, and all in aid of a very special charity. The CHESS team gifted Cian and Patricia with wellness hampers for their heroic efforts both for fundraising and in the sky.
