At the end of 2020, following the triple typhoon disaster, we made a personal appeal for help for our IQ-EQ colleagues in Manila with the Manila Disaster Relief Fund.
A huge thank you to each person who donated and those who donated collectively, as over Php 1,697,590 (29,305 Euros) was raised!
It was a challenging time for everyone impacted by the pandemic, with everyone working from home, but despite that our IQ-EQ offices still came up with creative ways to raise funds. For example they had a bake sale in Mauritius; Christmas jumper day in Guernsey; Luxembourg and UK & Ireland offices donated their Christmas gift money.
Through the funds raised, we were able to support 21 colleagues from the Manila office to repair damages to their properties in Marikina City, Pasig City, Rizal Province (Antipolo, Taytay, Cainta, San Mateo, Tanay), Bulacan and Camarines Sur. We also made donations to Philippine Cerebral Palsy Incorporated (PCPI), the first and only private Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in the Philippines established solely for the Filipino CP, as well as Save the Children Philippines, the leading independent children's organization.
Coming together to support our colleagues and communities, and demonstrating our IQ-EQ values, has made people feel even more engaged and proud to be part of IQ-EQ. Their compassion and kindness have been deeply felt by all our colleagues in Manila.
Thank you to everyone for living our IQ-EQ values!
