Two from IQ-EQ shortlisted in 2019 Citywealth Future Leaders Awards

IQ-EQ is delighted to announce that Greig Higgens and Rhuaridh Watt have both been shortlisted for ‘Trustee of the Year – Manager’ in this year’s Citywealth Future Leaders Awards.

The Future Leaders awards programme champions the rising stars of the private wealth sector aged under forty, who not only excel at their work and display strong leadership potential but are also making a positive difference to society.

Greig and Rhuaridh, based in Jersey and Guernsey respectively, each stand out for their strong technical expertise in managing portfolios of complex private wealth structures, their warm personalities and extracurricular achievements.

A valued member of IQ-EQ Jersey’s Sports and Social Committee, Greig has organised a range of activities including a couch-to-5K running scheme, pilates classes and strength and condition training. In April he led the office’s 2019 London Marathon team, raising over £15,000 for Headway. Greig was recently appointed Chairman of IQ-EQ Jersey’s Community Investment Committee and is working to support Jersey Alzheimer’s Association and Macmillan Cancer Support Jersey. He is also personally involved with several other local charities – from reading to school kids with Every Child Our Future, to cycling multiple long distances in aid of the Stroke Association, Jersey Hospice and Mencap.

Meanwhile, Rhuaridh has been instrumental in a number of key projects within the Guernsey office, including its achievement of the prestigious STEP Platinum Employer Partner accreditation in 2018 (the highest of three tiers awarded under the STEP Employer Partnership Programme) and the development of a technical training programme for trainees and junior staff. Outside of the office, Rhuaridh has served on the executive committee of a local disability charity and is currently working with a friend to establish a mental health charity in the UK.

This shortlisting comes hot on the heels of both Greig and Rhuaridh being named in the Future Leaders Top 100, as well as Rhuaridh’s recent recognition in the eprivateclient Channel Islands Top 35 Under 35.

Voting is now open to determine the winners of this year’s Future Leaders Awards. Results will be revealed at the awards ceremony in London on 13 November. Good luck Greig and Rhuaridh!
