Finance Manager – Strategic Project

Job Description

We have an excellent opportunity to join a Group Finance function operating in a fast growth environment. You will be part of the Financial Reporting, Planning and Analysis team and focussed on cost and benefit tracking for the Group’s change portfolio. This reporting includes both internal reporting to the Group Transformation Committee where you will play a key role in presenting financial information against budget. You will also ensure that benefits identified through project initiation are validated.

The role combines management accounting, excellent communication and analytical business skills. There is a strong focus on being able to liaise seamlessly with various teams and individuals across the business including members of the Group Management Team.

You will be responsible for managing finances in relation to the transformation programme including full business case management, investment prioritisation, investment and benefits management and tracking associated with the change portfolio. 

Responsibilities for the position will include but not limited to the following:

• Oversee the financial reporting cycle including the collation, analysis and presentation of costs and benefits to the Group Transformation Committee
• Establish a cost management framework across the change portfolio, including cost control & cost challenge;
• Support Project Managers with monthly forecasting, tracking and definition of costs and benefits;
• Partner with Project Managers to effectively manage cost budgets for each project and support forecasting
• Maintain and support the implementation and analysis of KPIs (financial and non-financial) in collaboration with the Group Information Management and Group Financial Reporting teams;
• Liaison with subsidiary finance teams and management to ensure project benefits have been embedded in budgets and forecasts
• Delivery of reporting in line with Group Finance requirements including production of commentary;
