Job Description
This is a new position to build and lead the internal finance offshoring team to be based in Mauritius. The team will be created to facilitate the offshoring and centralisation of internal finance operational activities that are currently undertaken by both the Group Finance Function and the internal finance teams in each country that the Group operates. The ideal candidate will have experience of leading a programme to migrate financial operations and the running of a finance team to a high standard of financial control.
The ideal candidate will have experience across a broad spectrum of finance activities and oversight of offshoring internal finance processes.
Activities to be migrated and managed in Mauritius will include:
- Financial Reporting
- Financial Planning and Analysis
- Finance Business Partnering
- Accounting and Accounts Preparation
- Financial Operations
- Cash receipts processing and reconciliation
- Accounts payable
Responsibilities for the position will include but not limited to the following:
- Liaison with key stakeholders in Group and Internal Finance to align expectations
- Management of the offshore team to ensure deadlines are met and there is sufficient capacity to
- Development of roadmaps to offshore more activities from the local and group finance teams to reduce the overall cost of the finance function
- Develop a culture on continuous improvement
Qualifications
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- Experience in management reporting and development of dashboards for ease of data consumption
- Ability to liaise with key stakeholders internally (Group Management Team members including C-suite) and externally (private equity investors).
- Excellent written communication skills both for report writing and addressing stakeholder queries
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of PowerBI advantageous.
- Organised and driven to ensure that tight deadlines are met.
- Experience of using the Sun accounting system would be an advantage.
