Facilities Multi-Skilled Technician

Job Description

As a Facilities Technician, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the building and equipment. You will monitor operations daily and oversee systems that include heating, lighting, refrigeration, air conditioning, plumbing, water purification, air filtering, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities 

  • In charge of facility operations/maintenance during his shift.
  • In charge of daily facility concerns from electrical, mechanical / plumbing, repairs, and carpentry during his shift.
  • Report safety concerns during his shift
  • Report security concerns during his shift
  • Communicate with superiors in the event decision-making is needed.
  • Prepare report like Troubleshooting analysis (5 Why’s and 1 How)
  • Part of ERT during his shift
  • Communicate with Building Admin for concerns on HVAC/Parking/Common Areas/and other Facility Concerns.
  • Other tasks that may be assigned by his superior from time to time

Key competencies for position and level

  1. Can interpret Mechanical and Electrical Diagram
  2. Knowledgeable in terms of Safety and ERT
  3. Well-versed in handling Facilities Management in a corporate set-up.
  4. Multi-skilled, gained expertise or understanding in terms of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and FDAS (Fire Detection and Alarm Systems).  

Qualifications

  • Graduate of Technical Course (Electrical or Mechanical)
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of solid experience in facility and building management
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of office facilities, building electrical systems, and handling HVAC equipment
  • Knowledge in using electrical measuring tools (MULTI-TESTER, CLAMP METER. etc.)
  • Knowledge of using plumbing and mechanical tools
  • Basic knowledge of Refrigeration
  • Knowledge in Building Wiring Standards.
  • Exposed in Safety and Health Standards
  • Knowledge of Safety and ERT Responsibilities
  • Knowledge in using Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PPT, and Outlook
  • Background in civil works
  • Amenable to work in a shifting schedule
