Job description

Due to continued growth we are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Workplace Support Specialist to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis and a proven track record of providing exceptional IT support to clients.  

You will be responsible for working closely with our clients to understand their needs, identify areas for improvement, and provide recommendations for technology solutions that will enhance their workflows and business processes.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Provide technical support to clients in a prompt, professional, and friendly manner 
  • Analyse client business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement 
  • Make recommendations for technology solutions that will enhance client workflows and business processes 
  • Develop strong relationships with clients and act as their primary point of contact for IT support 
  • Maintain and update client IT systems and software, ensuring they are running efficiently and effectively 
  • Stay up to date with current technology trends and developments to ensure clients are using the latest and most effective technology solutions 
  • Provide training to clients on new systems and software 
  • Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff as required 
  • Collaborate with the wider IT team to ensure clients receive the best possible service 
  • Fix issues escalated from the service desk and fulfill service requests 
  • Maintain the Joiner, Mover, and Leaver process for client IT systems 
  • Ensure compliance with local IT policies and procedures 

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred 
  • A relevant IT certification, such as CompTIA A+ 

Technical Expertise:

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience as a local IT support technician 
  • Experience working with Windows 10, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Teams (including Telephony, Audio/Video conferencing for Meeting Spaces), Always-on VPN, Citrix Workspace, Active Directory, SharePoint, InTune, WiFi, and Secure Printing 
  • Business analysis skills and experience 
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills 
  • Experience supporting executive, shareholder, and VIP level staff 
  • Strong knowledge of current technology trends and developments 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks effectively 
  • Strong tech savviness and ability to create standard operating procedures 
  • A positive, customer-focused attitude and approach to work 
  • A full clean driving license – travel between two offices will be required (10 minutes drive apart)
