Job description

The perfect candidate for us will be experienced (4-5 years in industry) in managing and leading a team, but also hands-on and the ability to deliver and scaling the technology solutions:

  • Ability to drive projects to completion with minimal guidance
  • Experience in identify & implementing different technologies / systems to solve a business problem
  • Experience in data analysis using SQL, Python, Snowflake, Tableau, Power BI
  • Extensive experience of product development lifecycle including: experiment design, feature engineering, validation, deployment, monitoring and using best practices for UI/UX
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to partner with Product and Technology delivery teams
  • Experience of leading and mentoring a team of application developers
  • Extensive experience of analytics and recommendation of systems.
  • Passionate about innovation & using technology to drive positive outcomes for our customers & the business
  • Solid statistical analysis and problem-solving skill
  • Define and shape the Investor Solutions roadmap, working closely with the Investor Solutions Management Team
  • Take overall responsibility for implementing the IS - roadmap items/features
  • Identify the right technology to help realise the roadmap items / features
    • Engaging with Group IT and Cosmos Product Owner on how existing systems and talent could be utilised
  • Line Management of the IS - Product Innovation team
    • HR responsibilities - OT, T&E, Leave, Sickness, Development (CPD), recruitment and succession planning
    • Future recruitment plan and prepare training plan on Product Innovation team, ensuring successful onboarding and integration with the wider Investor Solutions Team

IQ EQ Cosmos:

  • A secure platform delivering real time data reporting and data analysis with slicing and dicing capabilities. Allowing clients to have a single source of truth helping with their performance analysis and portfolio monitoring solutions.

    Tasks (what does the role do on a day-to-day basis)

    • Help shape and inform the Investor Solutions roadmap and R&D strategy
    • Evaluate the technical and economic feasibility of utilising different technology solutions to help realise the roadmap items / features
    • Apply statistical and advanced analytical techniques to optimise and improve business performance for specific business problems and use cases
    • Seek out and manage new sources of data for use in all aspects of forecasting, making IQ-EQ Investor Solutions best in class in utilising the most expansive data sets available
    • Regular delivery of data roadmap projects – both large and small – that drives business benefit and gives us a competitive advantage
    • Engage the wider analytical community by pushing best practice, helping coach and upskilling application developers

    Qualifications

    • Experience in machine learning development lifecycle including: experiment design, feature engineering, validation, deployment and monitoring
    • MSc in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, Statistics or other technical field
    • Experience in software engineering / development both front end and back end

It is leveraging state of the art technologies (“Cosmos”) alongside the technical operational expertise in providing dynamic and transparent reporting solutions to fund managers as well as the Asset Owner community.
