Our firm has excellent opportunities for qualified Senior Tax Accountant candidates who are motivated to work in the exciting world of private equity and hedge funds. Professional staff members will gain valuable experience in tax advisory, and accounting engagements. Motivated candidates will develop their research and analytical skills working on complex cross border private equity and hedge funds and the partnership and corporate entities they invest into.
The attributes and skills we typically look for in a Senior Tax Accountant are:
- Technical Knowledge/Firm Systems
- Knowledge of partnership and/or corporate tax
- Experience in tax and accounting software
- Inquisitive personality and motivation to learn and develop their technical knowledge
- Performs a detailed review of the team’s work to ensure quality, thoroughness and completion of assignment tasks within agreed time frames
- Effectively drafts client deliverables
Productivity/Communication
- Manages own and others work to meet performance expectations
- Successfully delegate work to staff and ensure the work is free of errors prior to completion
- Proactive in escalation of issues with Managers prior to completion of final deliverables
- Identifies opportunities to improve assignment efficiency and accuracy
- Identifies risk management issues
- Inquire as needed throughout the process in order to i) understand why they undertaking a task and ii) understand any technical knowledge or other requirements that are implicitly or explicitly associated with the task/deliverable
- Asks questions through the project in order to prepare workpapers/deliverables which foot and cross-foot, reference any related source data, reconcile to any supporting schedules, and which are accurate and contain little or no errors
- Works as an effective team member to complete project components and assignment tasks
- Identifies client’s needs/opportunities in order to sell/cross-sell products or services
