Job description

  • Execute technical projects in collaboration with research analysts, machine learning engineers and senior management.
  • Design, code and debug reporting, pre and post trade analysis and research applications.
  • Manage and create date and work with quantitative tools to back-test investment ideas.
  • Develop technical tools for measurement and analysis of performance statistics of investments.
  • Develop software to measure risk, drawdown and other statistics of portfolio and create reports.
  • Develop the internal intranet use only dashboard sharing system, where all analysis can be easily shared amongst analysts and senior management.
  • Develop code to automate the investor reports for the firm and provide for different statistics for investor queries.
  • Develop code to create trading idea pipeline and monitor it on a daily basis.
  • Develop code to automate the operations workflow for the firm.
  • Assist the research analysts in confirming the validity or bias of their trading ideas and help them with optimization on different projects.
  • Assist senior management to help control for firm level risk as well as risk across individual portfolios, finding the appropriate hedges to reduce the investment risk wherever possible.
  • Help Operations/Trading team with analysis of statistics of different brokers to better decide how to reduce our transaction costs for trading.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Operations Research or related field; Plus:
  • Five (5) years of experience in a quantitative software development role, software design in a Linux based environment, using SQL and Python, and using Big Data Technologies, Text processing and distributed computing.

Alternate Requirements:  

  • Masters degree in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Operations Research or related field; Plus:
  • Four (4) years of experience in a quantitative software development role, software design in a Linux based environment, using SQL and Python, and using Big Data Technologies, Text processing and distributed computing.
