Job description

We have a newly created role seeking a talented and passionate DevOps Engineer, you will report directly to the Head of R&D and will be in charge of maintaining the production, testing and development environments, as well as the CI/CD pipeline for the proprietary RegTech software solution, MaxComply. As our key DevOps Engineer you will be largely working with a LAMP based technology stack, as well as with the CI/CD tools from Atlassian.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a dynamic development team on the forefront of PHP application development
  • Contributing to the continuing scale up of the required infrastructure for the global architecture of MaxComply
  • Keeping all the involved platforms up to date with latest updates and patches
  • Assisting the software developers with the day-to-day configuration changes and fixes of their local development environments
  • Perform the code deployment to the testing and the production environments, following the MaxComply internal procedures
  • Contributing to the expanding architecture of MaxComply with server-side solutions
  • Liaising with the infrastructure and information security teams to ensure uninterrupted secure functionality of the MaxComply platform
  • Show an awareness of ongoing security risks and solutions

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years commercial experience as DevOps / Linux Server Administrator (Ubuntu or Debian are a plus)
  • Scripting experience using Bash or Python
  • Good understanding of networking and routing
  • Experience in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • An understanding of financial compliance processes is not necessary, but a willingness to learn and understand business workflows is essential
  • Excellent verbal and oral communication skills in English
  • Enthusiasm to grow and learn from experienced colleagues
  • Process oriented working style with clear goal direction and output focus
