Job description

Our funds business is growing rapidly and we always aim to ensure that we are fully compliant with our regulatory obligations. We are seeking to expand our Financial Reporting team to join this area of the business on a 6 month fixed term contract. The successful candidate will work directly with the Financial Reporting team for the duration of the contract.

  • Ensure that we are fully compliant with our regulatory requirements and legal obligations in relation to the financial statements aspect of our Funds business.
  • Adhere to all appropriate accounting standards across the range of Funds liaising with IQ-EQ Fund Management as the AIFM and all key service providers including, Investment Managers, Administrator, Depository, Directors and Auditors.
  • Maintain key relationships with appointed service providers
  • Assist in managing all aspects of the planning process of production and audit cycle of the financial statements, liaising with Fund Administrators, auditors, clients and various boards of the funds.
  • Assist in rolling out review of financial statements timetable with Fund Operations Team.
  • Represent the Financial Reporting team at meetings between teams of various providers and auditors at the various stages of the production and audit of the financial statements.
  • Assist in the review and sign-off of all financial statements for our regulated and unregulated funds
  • Assisting with ad hoc issues or queries that may arise such as reporting requests and general administrative duties
  • Assist external Management Accountants with the preparation of Property Fund quarterly management accounts.
  • Comply with the Risk and Compliance frameworks, policies and procedures associated with the role.

Qualifications

  • Qualified ACA or ACCA
  • Understanding of financial accounting standards and good understanding of the workings of an investment fund
  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience in the Funds Industry including experience of financial statements review.
  • Good organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task and co-ordinate relationships with multiple stakeholders
