Job description

You'll be a vital player in our newly formed Business Assurance team, creating value and making a difference to our fast-paced organisation. Every day brings a new challenge so you’ll need to be a team player at heart, with an eye for detail, great organisational skills so you can prioritise your day and sometimes with conflicting deadlines that still need to be met.

You’ll be responsible for managing, leading and developing the Business Assurance function for IQ-EQ Jersey, and ensuring successful delivery of the Business Assurance Team (“BAT”) scope, objectives and deliverables. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the Jersey Review team, and deputising for the Head of Operations on any operational matters within the scope of the BAT. You’ll need to maintain the Key Risk and Controls Register (“KRACR”); ensuring appropriate risk actions/mitigating actions are taken to minimise any residual risk, in partnership with the Head of Operations and support the effective running of the Operations Committee meetings.

You will have the duty to be a role model for all of the staff across the business. Knowing how to build an effective team by fostering open dialogue, working collaboratively and instilling trust, through honesty integrity and sincerity and delegate your day-to-day tasks to your team will be one of your main focuses as an integral leader. Strong communication skills are also a must, to help us deliver the highest level of client service to reflect on our Group culture.

You’ll need to build strong relationships across the wider business and help us ensure we are compliant with applicable laws, service standards, company policies and procedures. You will need to have a curious mind and use your own judgement to identify any risks or concerns ensuring you report them in a timely manner.

Qualifications

  • The right to live and work in Jersey
  • Relevant experience within a similar role is required, at Senior Manager level
  • Relevant professional qualifications
  • Exceptional knowledge of the Finance Industry in Jersey
  • Excellent team management skills & experience
