Job description

We have an exciting role within our existing IT Team for a Senior Network Engineer; we are part of a global group and you will be responsible for the design and development of infrastructure changes and process, assisting the Head of Infrastructure with IT Infrastructure tasks and projects.

We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to design, develop, and maintain our rapidly expanding wide area network. Your responsibility is to provide technical support for the global network environment including overseeing the development and organization, along with the assessment and implementation of new technologies. Your focus will be that our network offers the highest reliability and performance possible. Together with your colleagues you will work to achieve a state-of-the-art environment that meets current and future business objectives.

We are an International Group with offices in 23 jurisdictions. You will be part of the Group IT Infrastructure team which manages the worldwide set-up. This is an outstanding opportunity for an accomplished senior network engineer to join a market leading organisation build up its state-of-the-art global infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • Masters Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
  • ITIL v3 Foundation
  • CCNP or equivalent qualification / competency level
  • Proven experience as network engineer in operational management and evolution of IT infrastructure in a mission critical environment
  • 24/7/365 availability requirements
  • Expertise in Cisco switches, routers and firewalls
  • FortiGate and Juniper expertise is an advantage
  • Expertise in general networking and security technologies and protocols
  • Experience of implementation, configuration and management of an SD-WAN
  • Experience of network design: documentation and capacity planning
  • Experience of working in an ITIL based service delivery environment
  • Experience of leading a team of engineers
  • Fluent in English and an additional language would be considered an asset
