Job description

In this newly created role, your responsibilities include developing key growth strategies, tactics and action plans to grow revenue. Collaboration with Client Managers is key to ensuring successful implementation.  Execution of these strategies is required to achieve IQ-EQ growth targets for the Isle of Man cluster and throughout the Group. You will play a important part in the promotion of  I.O.M's services internally, to ensure best placement of solutions for our clients. Your duties include achieving annual growth targets, delivering a key feeder development plan and understanding general industry trends.

In this transversal role you will work closely with the Managing Director, Senior Leadership Team and the Group Chief Commercial Officer (‘GCCO’) to achieve revenue growth in-line with growth targets. 

You will report in to the Isle of Man MD for sales performance and business development and has a dotted line into the GCCO to ensure alignment with Group Reporting and Group Commercial Strategy.

Responsibilities (how we measure success)

  •  Developing growth strategy, tactics, business development plans and key intermediary plans
  • You will have an established network of intermediary and client relationships and the ability to grow existing and new relationships with intermediaries and clients
  • Identifying and reporting on business opportunities in target markets such as Real Estate, Private Client, Corporate and Yachts and Aircraft
  • Representing the business at conferences and networking events
  • Maximising new business development opportunities
  • Providing and coordinating thought leadership (to promote the different aspects of the IQ-EQ Isle of Man offering) through presentations and articles
  • Providing market feedback to the Managing Director, Senior Leadership Team & Group Management Board regarding competitive offerings, prospect needs and generating product/service development ideas
  • Drive approved new services/products and their delivery into market
  • Taking ownership of organic growth targets
  • Identifying inorganic growth targets for consideration by the Group Management Board
  • Implement cross-selling and upselling initiatives as applicable
  • Leveraging the Group’s internal sales network to drive growth in Isle of Man
  • Utilising the Group’s existing media distribution channel to raise profile of the Isle of Man business
  • To ensure that the business has a strong account (i.e. client) management programme in place that this is being tracked/monitored in order to steer and maximise commercial opportunities

Key Accountabilities     

  • Establish and monitor business development against KPIs
  • Report monthly to the Managing Director and GCCO
  • Participate in key New Business Opportunities
  • Prepare and execute the business development strategy across key market segments, including the following:
    • Further develop existing clients
    • Roll out a structured service promotion approach
    • Roll out a structured Intermediaries strategy, personally being involved in key relationships / meetings
