You will have responsibility for the management of the financial control function for the cluster, ensuring that the underlying operations of the team are run in a controlled, timely, efficient and cost effective manner, along with overseeing the production of accurate financial reporting that adheres to regulatory requirements.
You will report to the Head of Finance, Guernsey, and have responsibility for the smooth operational management of the Guernsey finance function.
You will proactively support the respective Head of Funds and Private Wealth with all financial matters - working closely and collaboratively with the Financial Controllers for their functions.
You will have a thorough understanding of the finance function processes and procedures and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements.
You will oversee the accurate and timely delivery of monthly, quarterly, annual and ad-hoc financial reporting and providing analytical information in relation to the financial performance of the business as requested.
You will proactive support to the Head of Finance, Guernsey, in relation to the collation of budgets and forecasting and assists with the monitoring of performance against the same.
You will ensure that all regulatory deadlines are met. These include, but are not limited to, GFSC financial returns, statutory accounts reporting and taxation filing.
You will build and maintain effective working relationships between the Guernsey finance function, the local business segments, Group finance and Group outsourced service teams reporting developments and issues to the Head of Finance, Guernsey, as required.
In conjunction with the Head of Finance, Guernsey, you will have responsibility for leading and delivering on finance team projects as requested.
You will keep all operational aspects of the Guernsey finance team under review looking to identify areas for efficiencies and subsequently discussing these with the Head of Finance, Guernsey.
