As a Senior Business Analyst working within the Group Digital Office, you will work with senior colleagues and other senior stakeholders to investigate operational issues, problems and new opportunities, seeking effective business solutions through improvements in aspects of business areas or systems.
You'll also direct the analysis of underlying issues and their root causes, identifying available options for consideration
The day to day:
Support the Group Digital Office by working with senior colleagues and other senior stakeholders to investigate and model business functions, business processes, information flows and data structures;
Direct and lead investigations into operational issues, problems and new opportunities; seeking effective business solutions through improvements in aspects of business areas or systems of interest. Direct and lead in the analysis of underlying issues and their root causes, validating available options identified by the wider analysis team;
Specify data, data objects and information flows that align with the needs of the business;
Ensure the production of business analysis deliverables using relevant documentation styles in line with organisational standards using appropriate tools, for example;
Business Requirements Documentation
Development of test plan and support scripts and KPI reporting
Facilitate senior stakeholder meetings and workshops, presenting findings and actions both verbally and in writing to the business;
Direct the analysis team in defining user acceptance tests for new or improved business processes and IT systems;
Direct the analysis team in defining holistic solutions that address organisational, people, processes, information and technology aspects; justifying the solutions when supporting the development of a business case for a business change initiative.
Ensure that potential opportunities and risks attached to options presented by the analysis team have been captured.
Based on assessment carried out by the analysis team develop robust Benefits Realisation forecasts and plans, ensuring senior business sign-off.
Manage and support the wider analysis team including helping to resolve any issues that they may face. This should include acting as their initial escalation point.
Ensure plans are made and processes are created to evaluate the impact of the changes made, including taking responsibility for overseeing and reporting on this evaluation.
Ensure that reengineered processes are adequately defined to the point that they can be put forward for a robust automation readiness assessment
