Job description

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Systems Engineer to help develop and maintain our rapidly expanding IT infrastructure.  You will be part of a talented team of IT Infrastructure engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security.

We are an International Group with offices in > 20 countries.  You will be part of the Group IT Infrastructure team which manages the worldwide set-up.  This is an outstanding opportunity for a skilled infrastructure engineer to join a market leading organisation build up its state-of-the-art global infrastructure.

Qualifications

Tasks (what does the role do on a day-to-day basis)

  • Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure, with specific responsibility for developing and maintaining the group SCCM environment
  • Provide 3rd level escalation support
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of application systems and infrastructure availability
  • Proactively analyse existing infrastructure and networks with a view to recommending performance and efficiency improvements and enhancements
  • Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
  • Monitor and test application and network performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

Required Experience

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
  • ITIL v3 Foundation
  • Strong expertise in SCCM and Intune
  • Proven experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Windows (AD, Exchange, O365, File-DFS, clustering, …) & Linux based environments.
  • Good knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware vSphere, vSAN, NSX, Citrix)
  • Good security and networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP): Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper.
  • Experience in the administration and perf
