Product Owner

Full-time / part-time
Mid-Senior Level
United Kingdom

Job description

Are you passionate about product design and development within financial services?

Are you looking for the next BIG opportunity with a Product Owner role that can shape the future of our investor services product offering?

At IQ-EQ, we realise the world is changing for investors, necessitating a new way of managing investments to give true transparency and the ability to turn real-time data into crucial intelligence. IQ-EQ’s COSMOS is our proprietary, cutting-edge reporting tool, envisioned to become a fully-fledged product, moving away from being a simple Tableau Service towards an E2E capability with Data exploitation and Customer Experience as its prime drivers.

As a Product Owner you will have the opportunity to take our award winning platform Cosmos to the next level. With your sound technical leadership skills and your experience in scaling up a software product, coupled with your ability to motivate developers and engineers through your knowledge and gravitas you will be a strategic thinker with strong business acumen, capable of engineering across an industry-leading stack. IQ-EQ is not wedded to the stack and you will form part of a team evolving it, making the right choices for the right reasons.

You will be expected to operate at a tactical level as you will be getting to grips with the business, the technology stack, the clients, and the roadmap. For the first 12 months, the role will require a very hands-on approach before switching direction towards a more strategic outlook as the team and product grow. Operating at a strategic level you will then, have the opportunity to represent the interests of our client base within the development team. You will be the sole person accountable for managing and ordering the product backlog and ensure that there is always a user advocate involved in development meetings.

You will provide Product Ownership for COSMOS examining its platforms, microservices, data structures and interfaces across the IQ-EQ Group. You will rely heavily on your collaboration skills as you work with internal platform and single product owners, suppliers, Development Teams, Security and Infrastructure, and more importantly the business and clients on every aspect of the Through Life Management. Lead on solution delivery for COSMOS, working with key project, technology and business stakeholders.

You will  become a product ambassador and leverage on your networking skills to develop and maintain strategic relationships with external parties, e.g. software vendors and research companies, to promote technology innovation and ensure the Group is future-proofed and in line with industry best-practice and market trends.
