Senior Product Owner Web Portals

Job description

As the Product Owner Web Portals you are responsible for the functional management, the analysis, and the optimization of the applications offered from our web platform to end users (your clients, and your colleagues.) In addition, you are expected to independently translate business requirements into clear functional and non-functional requirements by investigating the effect of these wishes on the IT landscape and the time and budget to realize this.

You will also be in charge of testing and implementing new developments by creating new cases for the testers’ teams, and managing their remarks and findings.

Effective communication with end users is an essential skill in this position. If there is a new application, for example, or an update of the current application, you make sure that it is registered in the release notes and manuals and is clear to end users what changes and how they should use the application.

The Product Owner is part of a Platform Team reporting to the Platform Director. The team is varied and is in charge of three main areas: back-end, web portals and Cloud infra/interfaces.

The IT-platform of our department - BPO services for Investors administration and web portals – runs in an Azure Cloud DEVOPS environment. The web portals are offered as white-labels or are custom build in PHP Laravel and connected with the API’s of our back-end. The ongoing development of our web portals are created agile in continuous delivery and in a close cooperation with our three external IT partners (One for Cloud Infrastructure managed services, One for back-end and APi’s development and maintenance, One for front end USX development.)


  • Preferably a completed higher professional education (HBO) in a relevant direction.
  • A minimum of 2 years work experience on a PSPO III level
  • Experience in a complex IT landscape with a high level of abstraction.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Good command of both spoken and written Dutch and English.
  • Experience in an investment environment is an advantage.
