Job description

Are you a Data Engineer with experience of product/project development from strategy/pre-sales to live operation and support? Do you have experience of bridging the gap between tech teams and the business?

Reporting to the Head of Business IT Services you will provide Product Ownership from a Technology perspective for Investor Solutions  (data visualization and manipulation) services to the Group, covering every aspect of the 'Through Life Management' of our products.

Working with key project, technology and business stakeholders, you will provide oversight on solution delivery for this product group. In collaboration with the Investor Solutions team and Clients, you will proactively seek out and suggest improvements in either service delivery or the technical capability of this product set. 

You will use your understanding of the product/project development lifecycle to present and communicate solutions clearly and concisely with technical and non-technical audiences from senior stakeholders through to developers, including external customers.

This is a unique opportunity to join a team on a journey of growth, to innovate, and be key in offering quick solution/resolutions for our clients.

N.B. This is a 6 month FTC position initially 

Qualifications

  • Degree level education within Mathematics/Statistical/Financial related field in computing is preferred, but equivalent professional experience in IT is acceptable.
  • Experience across data engineering.
  • Experience of working in a commercially focused environment
  • Experience of working in an agile development environment and with 3rd party suppliers.
  • Ability to work with a variety of business, domain and technology experts to develop and enhance product offerings.
  • Understanding of the product and project development lifecycle from strategy or pre-sales to live operation and support.
  • Experience in Data visualisation and Manipulation tools i.e. Tableau, and R/R+/python
  • Financial Services experience is desired.
