{"id":863,"date":"2025-03-07T12:24:48","date_gmt":"2025-03-07T12:24:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iqeq.com\/ae\/?post_type=case_study&#038;p=863"},"modified":"2026-01-06T14:06:04","modified_gmt":"2026-01-06T14:06:04","slug":"gcc-family-seeking-sophisticated-platform-for-international-investment","status":"publish","type":"case_study","link":"https:\/\/iqeq.com\/ae\/case-studies\/gcc-family-seeking-sophisticated-platform-for-international-investment\/","title":{"rendered":"GCC family seeking sophisticated platform for international investment"},"content":{"rendered":"<section class=\"text-block standard-spacing  \">    <div class=\"container fade-in\">\n        <p class=\"pre-header\">Case study<\/p>\n<h2>The client, their challenge<\/h2>\n<p>IQ-EQ was approached by a Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) family to establish a sophisticated and efficient international operating platform to facilitate a range of international investments, both business and personal.<\/p>\n<p>The family was looking to further diversify their investment portfolio internationally to continue growing their wealth and manage risk, and to establish a flexible structure that would allow them to invest in various jurisdictions.<\/p>\n<h2>Our solution<\/h2>\n<p>Based on their requirements, we agreed that a private trust company (PTC) structure, held by a purpose trust, would be the most appropriate strategy for the family\u2019s needs and objectives.<\/p>\n<p>We were able to incorporate the purpose trust and PTC, in addition to various trusts being established by each settlor. We then incorporated special purpose vehicles (SPVs) to facilitate the ownership of four existing venture capital investments in the U.S. and established a further SPV to facilitate an investment into a UK business. We also transferred some Cayman SPVs into the structure.<\/p>\n<p>Working closely with the family and their advisers, we were able to help them bring their international business interests into the PTC structure.
